Value Management DIY Programme
The Value Management Model, ensures that the exchange of value between business stakeholders is both managed and monitored.
Purpose:
To introduce key components of the Relationship Value Management programme in a short space of time and at minimum cost.
The intention of the DIY programme is to provide enough of the basic concepts and tools to enable people to develop a Value Management programme that suits their needs.
This provides the knowledge and tools that support people introducing methods, concepts, reporting etc at appropriate times, without needing to engage the partner company in a full Value Management programme.
Benefit:
The net benefit of the Value Management programme is the retention and protection of relationships (e.g. customers) that are important to a business.
It does this through ensuring that there is a greater level of understanding about relationships, providing tools to make the exchange of value in the relationship more visible, improving the client (TS client) understanding about the possible issues their partners perceive.
DIY Programme Overview:
The programme is very interactive and requires active discussion and participation.
This programme is a combination of theory and the practical application of tools and methods. Taylored Solutions provide all necessary templates and guidance on their use.
Participants learn, through an experiential approach, the following areas of the Value Management programme:
- Expectations Review: understanding about different expectations and the issues that can arise. Includes exercises to highlight the challenges and gain insight about current expectations in relationships.
- Value Balance Sheet: developing and using 'The Value Exchange Table' and the more comprehensive Value Balance Sheet.
- Relationship Scoreboard: developing and using a Relationship Scoreboard.
- Current Performance reporting: review and assessment of the current measures in light of previous areas.
The sessions include some initial population of the Value Balance Sheet and Relationship Scoreboard with real data, as a basis for the participant to gain a deeper understanding of how they apply and can be used in their partnership.
The full roll-out of them requires further work, outside the DIY work sessions, to gain buy-in, establish agreed measures and fully populate the actual data relevant to the partnership. The processes for ongoing use of the tools is outlined in the programme.
It is a flexible programme and variations are made to suit client needs.
